One-on-one lessons with professional instructors to strengthen foreign employees' speaking skills

Online Japanese language education for foreign employees

Online Japanese Training for Non-Japanese Native Employees

If your company employs foreign employees,
do you have any of these problems with your employees' Japanese?

  • We want our foreign employees to work for a long time as potential future leaders, not just a workforce.
  • Our Japanese employee is teaching Japanese, but does not know how to teach it properly.
  • We want to train employees' Japanese language skills, but we can't spend much money on it.

It is often the case that hired foreign employees have JLPT N1 or N2, but surprisingly cannot speak Japanese well.
This is because the JLPT is a "listening" and "reading" test and does not test speaking ability. It is the same as many Japanese who cannot speak English well even if they score 700 or 800 or higher on the TOEIC test.
The only way to improve your conversational ability is to speak more and more, but if you are not confident in your speaking ability, you tend to become more and more reluctant to speak at work for fear of making mistakes, which is a vicious cycle.

SuraPera Japanese training services from will solve your problems!

SuraPeraFeatures of Online Japanese Language Training for Foreign Employees in Japan

Advantage #1
Native Japanese language instructors

Instructors are basically fixed, customizing lessons to fit the learner's needs.

There is no fixed course or curriculum at SuraPera. Your instructor will assess your Japanese level at the first lesson (free of charge) and arrange subsequent lessons according to your individual needs. We will focus on the areas that you want to improve in order to develop your practical skills.
At SuraPera, we have a large number of instructors with various backgrounds. We will select the instructor best suited to your occupation, desired class schedule, goals, and the like.

Advantage #2
One-on-one lessons

One-on-one lessons allow for intensive training of conversation skills.

Group lessons have the advantage of building relationships among learners and keeping them motivated, but they inevitably limit the opportunities for individual conversation. In addition, it is difficult to achieve a high learning effect for everyone if there are differences in Japanese language levels or if there are differences in the number of lessons taken due to work commitments.
By devoting as much time as possible to speaking, learners can effectively train their Japanese conversation skills.

Advantage #3
25 minutes per lesson

One lesson lasts 25 minutes and can be taken anytime and anywhere, so you can balance work and learning.

SuraPeralessons are 25 or 50 minutes each. You can continue your steady learning by using your spare time during working hours. You can take lessons not only during the daytime, but also at night, on holidays, or at any other time that suits your schedule.
Lessons can be taken online, so you don't have to choose where you work. You can have employees who are already working, or hired personnel take lessons intensively before they come to Japan.

FAQ

Q
Is there a pre-level test?
A

There is no level test; the instructor will assess the learner's Japanese level at the first lesson (free of charge) and arrange subsequent lessons accordingly.

Q
Isn't 25 minutes per lesson too short?
A

Although 25 minutes may seem short, it has the advantage of allowing you to concentrate throughout the lesson. Also, the most important factor in improving your language skills is continuity. Taking short lessons without gaps between them is more effective than taking long lessons every once in a while. If you book consecutive time slots with the same instructor, you can take lessons of 50 minutes, 75 minutes, and so on.

Q
What happens if I can't take the lesson at the reserved time due to work or other reasons?
A

If you cancel at least 24 hours prior to the lesson start time, no cancellation fee will be charged. Cancellations made after that time will incur a 100% cancellation fee.

Q
What do I need to take lessons?
A

You will need a PC (or smart device) with internet access, an email address, and the Zoom app; if your PC does not come with one, you will also need a webcam and headset.

Q
Can I take a course even if I live outside of Japan?
A

Yes, you can take the course online, even if you live outside of Japan. It can also be used as pre-employment training.

Q
What is your payment method?
A

At the end of each month, we will calculate the number of lessons taken and prepare an invoice, so you can pay by bank transfer.
